NARS blush in Deep Throat | Review

Back at it again with make up products! I've been hoarding beauty products like crazy lately, thanks to this facebook group that I joined in last year. Just when I thought that I am just a lipstick junkie, little did I know that blushes are so addicting too!

NARS probably has one of the most coveted products in the beauty world, most especially their blushes. One of the cult faves is their blush in Deep Throat. Okay, I actually got so curious about this product not only because of the (lots of) raves about this shade, but also because of its name. I also suck at joining the bandwagon, so when someone posted this for sale in the group, I immediately readied myself to do that ninja-ing to get my hands on it.

I would describe its color as pinky peach with shimmers, at least how it shows on my skin. I find that the glitter or shimmer of this blush is just enough to give your cheeks an instant glow which actually works as a highlighter too, so you no longer need to layer it with your favorite cheek-beaming product on top.

This product is encased in a black rubber packaging with a mirror, which I really like as I find it to be sturdy. It retails for Php1,650 in stores, but I got this for only Php700! Such a steal, right?

This shade is pretty universal -- I find that it could actually work on a lot of skin tones. I has a natural "flushed" effect if dusted lightly, but you could also get heavy-handed without looking like you stamped a pigment on your cheeks. I personally like to diffuse this lightly on my cheeks, in an upward motion for that natural, highlighted effect. This blush also stays on your cheeks for a decent 5 to 6 hours.

This is taken with natural light, but the shimmers do not seem so obvious. I swear, it does have shimmers. LOL

I highly recommend this blush if you want to invest on a high-end product; this is dual-purpose and a little goes a long way, so you could actually get your money's worth.
