A view of the Panglao beach from the Bohol Bee Farm. |
A neighboring province of the Queen City of the South, this is also a popular tourist destination in the Visayas region because of its beaches and resorts. One will quickly fall in love with Bohol – particularly due its laidback atmosphere and the polite locals.
We opted to book a tour since we do not know a lot of places to visit in Bohol aside from Chocolate Hills and the Tarsier Conservation Center. *Note: The ever reliable CebuPac (sarcasm intended) moved our flight schedule a day later, so we had to contact them to reschedule it yet again on February 1st at an earlier time. I had to edit the original itinerary, specifically just the days that we had the activities included on the tour package, just so it would match what we did throughout our stay in Bohol.
We stayed at the Dumaluan 01 Beach Resort, a more affordable option from the two Dumaluan Beach Resorts that are located along the stretch of the Pangalo beach, along with other beach resorts. Although our room was short from being fancy, it still includes what we need for our stay and is just a stone throw away from the beach, so it was just perfect for the two of us. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture of it but you could check out Dumaluan Beach Resort's website for their room options and rates should you opt to book directly from them.
As for our experience, I highly recommend Kuya Dodong's Bohol Tour package – it is packed with activities and priced reasonably. He's also very responsive to our messages and always reminds us what time we'll be picked up, what to expect for day's activities, etc. He, by the way, has been featured in the show Rated K and his tour business has grown since; he now has his own staff.
